Whether you need to annotate a contract, fill in a form, sign a document, merge several files into one, split out a few pages, convert images to PDF, or reduce a PDF's file size for email, these tools handle it without sending your file to a server.

What the PDF editor can do

How PDF compression works

The PDF compressor re-saves your PDF using object streams — a more compact way of packing its internal objects — and strips metadata like author name, title, and producer information. The visual content — text, images, layout — stays untouched, because the process is lossless. Older PDFs and files with loose internal structure typically see the largest reductions, while modern PDFs from Chrome or Adobe are already tightly packed and may shrink little or not at all (in which case your original is kept unchanged).

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the PDF editor upload my files? +
No. The PDF is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript libraries. Your document never leaves your device.
Can I add text to an existing PDF? +
Yes. Select the Text tool, click anywhere on the page, and type. You can adjust font size and colour.
Does compression reduce quality? +
No. It's lossless — the compressor repacks the file's structure and removes metadata only. Text, images, and layout stay unchanged.
