How to split a PDF
Upload your PDF and the tool shows how many pages it has. Enter the first and last page of the range you want to keep, then click "Extract Pages." A new PDF containing only those pages downloads to your device. To pull out a single page, set the start and end to the same number. Everything runs in your browser — your document is never uploaded.
When to split a PDF
- Extract a chapter — pull one section out of a long document
- Remove unwanted pages — keep only the pages you need
- Share a single page — send just the relevant page instead of the whole file
- Break up large files — split a big PDF into smaller, emailable pieces
Your PDF stays private
This tool uses pdf-lib to split PDFs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded — disconnect from the internet and it still works. Need to combine PDFs instead? Use the PDF merger. To shrink a file, try the PDF compressor.
